Unable to deliver file.

I'm seeing trip reports which use embedded photos failing to serve up said photos, more and more, lately.

For example: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16653

Instead, it just shows the filename and usual clutter, and a link to the image. Just to be ironic...

Hey Dan, it just occurred to me... I'm also noticing that some user's avatars are no longer being served. Same/related problem?

It works here, maybe you have some adblock rule blocking it?

The mystery deepens! Just tried it on my phone, and it's not working there, either. Which points next to an upstream firewall - ugh!

Hmmmm, nope, highly unlikely. Just turned the wifi on the phone off, and it's still not coming through. (Despite refreshes, yes.)

And really, given nearly all avatars are functioning just fine, there's no good reason any sort of blocker would be singling out just certain number combinations in that trailing URL parameter. (Not that software needs "a good reason" to misperform, but...)

That's really strange- those files all work for me in multiple browsers/devices.

Have you tried doing a hard refresh to make sure you don't have a blank image cached?

We do use Cloudflare so maybe Cloudflare has a blank image cached somehow? I cleared the Cloudflare cache just in case that is it.

We had sort of an event this morning (some sort of automated attack) and I upgraded PHP during it. Afterwards some files weren't serving properly, so it's possible a blank image got cached.
