Error on Fort to Sea Hike

Post by Avarie » August 12th, 2016, 9:17 am

Hello, I'm a ranger at Lewis and Clark National Historical Park and we've been trying to remove anything that says we offer a shuttle between the trailheads of the Fort to Sea trail. We haven't been able to offer a shuttle for several years and we want people to have access to accurate information--they don't always call ahead to check that we really have the shuttle. Instead people bring two cars to park at either end, or take a taxi that costs about $20.

Additionally, it is no longer true that dogs aren't allowed in the middle section. Leashed dogs are welcome on all parts of all of our park's trails.

Here is the page: http://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide ... o_Sea_Hike

We at the park would really appreciate this update. Thank you!!!

Thank you for the updates! Especially the one about dogs makes me really happy, as we can now do this trail with ours :)

Really, truly, incredibly appreciate this update! Seemed like the perfect dog-walk trail, until hitting the prohibition. So happy to hear it's now an option!
