Hi, Somewhere I remember seeing a list of pictures that were needed for the field guide. Some of them were places I went. Being camera-less at the time I let it go. Is there still a need and what specifications are required. I like to take basic pictures although I am definitely not a professional. I would like to help out if I could.

@woodswalker: Here's the list of pages that need pictures: http://www.portlandhikersfieldguide.org ... Needs_pics
If you, or anyone else for that matter, wants to post pictures in this thread that belong to these pages, I can put them up in the Field Guide (or you can PM me). Thanks for offering!

Hi, thanks for directing me! A few of these are places I will probably go and I am happy to take pictures.

Two views of the braided crossing. I understand it changes constantly. This day, "the crossing" was actually two or three separate ones, depending on where one attacked it.bobcat wrote:@woodswalker: Here's the list of pages that need pictures: http://www.portlandhikersfieldguide.org ... Needs_pics

Hmmm, I probably have a bunch of these from all the wandering around last summer. I'll look around. Here's a few I was able to find:
Thrush Pond on Eagle-Tanner PCT - Benson-Ruckel 405A junction Moffet - Wauneka Point (429) junction

I'm not sure if this is in the field guide but it is at the intersection of the Newton Creek Trail and the Timberline Trail.

No problem. Thank you for all the work you do on the field guide, it is a great resource.@northridge: Thank you much! Pictures are now posted on these three pages . . .
Discovered a few more that you are welcome to use.
At the time I passed it, I believed the camp shown below to be Ridge Camp on the Gorton Creek Trail just south of the Nick Eaton junction. I waypointed it at 45.65122, 121.77473 which differs from what is in the Field Guide, but close. Perhaps there is another camp up in the same area that I did not see. The one shown below is right off the trail, west side.
Here is the Gorton Creek Trail - Plateau Cutoff Trail (412) junction:
Finally, here is the Ruckel Creek Trail - PCT junction. As of May, 2014, the sign was on the ground...I do not know if it was repaired over the summer months. Note the reference to "Eagle Creek Park".
