This little trillium grows at about 270' elevation at the top of a stream bank in Marion Co. It grows as a clump--larger each year. Leaves are spotted and are small--no group of three exceeds 5 1/2 inches. Flowers are white and don't change color as they age. It doesn't seem to fit the species descriptions I've seen so I'm curious what it is.

I keep making protein shakes but they always turn out like margaritas.

Lots of these in flower along the Cox Creek Trail in Albany this week. Curiously, these Cox Creek specimens don't have such distinctively mottled leaves.

Thanks Guys!
There are a few other trilliums nearby, minus the leaf spotting, somewhat larger, solitary, but same sessile flower.
This is by far the best year for my gregarious trillium. Here's a photo from yesterday, March 30.

Nice find. I found a double-blossom trillium once, above Badger Lake. Looked almost rose-like. Haven't seen one since.
