In 2012 I came down the Viento Ridge, so continuing north from Don's track past the "3" and down to the powerline. There was a horrendous amount of blowdown on the ridge, all buried in deep vegetation, making progress very slow and painful! So that is another possibility for anybody with sinister urges...
Some people are really fit at eighty; thankfully I still have many years to get into shape…
