Possibly a lily...?

Post by Splintercat » March 22nd, 2015, 4:55 pm

I'm hoping someone can ID this plant by the emerging foliage:

Looks like a lily to me -- today in a maple grove along Gorton Creek.

Thanks!

Tom

Could be chocolate lilies... but pretty hard to tell this early.

Thanks, Adam. I might sneak back there in a couple weeks to check... curiosity will get the best of me, as always!

I'm going to say it's tiger lilies. I'll give Adam $10 if I'm wrong . . .

This is a wacky year, but do you think it's SO wacky that tiger lilies are coming up in March?

(Tom, now you HAVE to go back!)

Well, this lily is about 10 feet from the TH sign at Gorton Creek, so it will be easy to settle this bet!
