Any idea what these are? They were up on the summit and they felt like thin paper full of air.

thanks, Adam. I saw the pods on Lookout Mountain a couple of years ago and weren't sure what they were, and now I know

I wouldn't have known except I saw them near the summit of Mt. Eddy (just west of Mt. Shasta) a few years ago. This is why I label my photos carefully.

Those bulbs remind me of Pitcher plants - Darlingtonia - that I saw in Black Basin in Trinity Alps
