This is carved into the outhouse at the trailhead to Shadow Falls.

If I get the chance, I'll go back and look for the sign asking campers to leave the beavers alone we found laying in the bushes that was...chewed down by beavers.

deep in Olympic National Park....a sign is put up at trail junture...within a week local bear will chew it up.....happens each year

This isn't a trail sign, but it sure made me laugh! It was posted at the end of someone's driveway on a rural road near the town of Wallowa.

There used to be this sign on the entrance to Eagle Creek a few years back. Obviously by the time I took the trouble to photograph it, it was past prime. It was to inform people that the leash rule was for their dogs protection. The squirrels certainly could dart off the trail and over the edge without falling. Not so for the all too anxious dogs that followed. Is this still posted?
