20 degree quilt on 4/29 (Massdrop)

Post by Chazz » April 27th, 2016, 1:31 pm

Massdrop is hosting a group buy of a 20 degree quilt on Friday. Limited numbers are available.

Review: http://sectionhiker.com/massdrop-20-deg ... down-quilt

They are not saying who makes the quilt other than it is not one of the main cottage manufacturers of quilts.

Weight: 21oz
Material: 750-fill down
Cost: $200

If you were waiting for a less expensive quilt, this might be a good opportunity.

I think I'd opt to spend another $50.00 for an Enlightened Equipment Revelation quilt. Hundreds of 5-star reviews, DownTec waterproof 800 fill down, zippered foot box so you can use it flat or with a foot box.

It turned out that Enlightened Equipment was making those quilts for Massdrop. They did not have all the features of the Prodigy/Revelation/Enigma lines but they did have the quality. The materials were a bit heavier.

A little off topic, but I checked out that Enlightened Equipment link, and they win the prize, hands down, for the best web interface I've ever seen for just about any product. All the options are right there on one screen, the price and weight update immediately as you choose options, and the available pictures are informative. I'm tempted to buy one just because of the interface. :D

Buy one for any reason: they're fabulous! I love my Enigma so much I think the rest of my gear gets jealous. :D

Massdrop has these quilts on sale again. A 20degree down quilt is $200 and 20oz. I've also gotten confirmation that Enlightened Equipment is actually manufacturing them.

I have a Enlightened Equipment Revelation and I would be weary to get something that maybe a knock off. Customer service is amazing and the quality is spot on. Love it.
