Eagle Creek Trail is impassable beyond milepoint 3.1 due to a landslide and will be repaired when conditions permit. With the large amount of precipitation we have received this winter, there is potential for more slides on many of our trails. Expect patches of snow on most of the trails throughout the gorge as well as debris and fallen trees on trails. Creeks are running very high — plan to ford where seasonal waterfalls have washed out trails or through stream crossings which might normally be a small trickle. Trails that would usually be considered “easy” or “intermediate” are likely more difficult to navigate right now. For example, a large uprooted fir tree and wet conditions make Wahclella a more difficult hike than usual.
