Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM PST

Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/maple-ridg ... 1610968527

Overview

McIver State Park, located on the Clackamas River between Oregon City and Estacada, is a 950-acre park with camping, boating, hiking and horseback riding opportunities for its visitors. There are over 14 miles of trails for hikers and horseback riders in the park.

Project Description

The Maple Ridge trail is one of the more popular trails in the park. TKO is currently working on a 250’ reroute on the trail to raise the walking surface above a wet, muddy area. Once this section is complete, we will start on a rock crossing over a small creek, carrying rock to the site, preparing it for rock placement and setting the rocks.

Hiking Information

The hike to the work site will be about a mile over gently uphill terrain, with a few stairs.

What to Expect

You should expect to work on finishing the trail tread surface on the reroute and decommissioning the existing trail. On later dates this month we may be carrying rocks up the trail in preparation for the rock crossing and working on the crossing as time permits. You will work with experienced crew leaders. No experience is necessary.
