Saturday, October 14, 8:30 AM to 4 PM

Overview

Join us to help maintain this close to Portland trail network while learning basic trail tending techniques.We will be returning to the Audubon Society of Portland to help them maintain their trails. We will be working on trails on the North side of Cornell.

Project description

Installing a curb log, brushing out trails, and improving the trail tread.

Hiking information

Work will be close to the Audubon Society building with a short hike to the work site.

What to expect

We will be installing a curb log to address a narrow trail section on the East end of Wren trail. Then brushing and improving existing tread on Jay and Woodpecker trails.

What to bring

Water bottle, lunch. Gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available).

What to wear

Boots (tennis shoes are not allowed)
Long sleeved shirts recommended
Clothing as appropriate for the weather
Eye protection is recommended (eye glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses
