Volunteer with TKO! Elowah Falls Trail, Columbia Gorge

Elowah Falls Trail, Columbia Gorge
Tuesdays, May 9 & 16, 8:30 AM-3:30 PM

The Elowah Falls trail is a very popular family hike in the Gorge. It is accessed from the John B. Yeon trailhead, 6 miles west of Cascade Locks. This winter, a large slide has closed the trail about 1/2 mile from the trailhead.

Trailkeepers of Oregon will be working on Tuesday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 16 to create a re-route that will bypass the slide area and re-open the trail. Because of the steepness of the re-route area and the close proximity in which volunteers will be working, registration is limited to 8 volunteers for each work party.

No trail work experience is necessary; TKO provides tools and training. Registration is required. For more information or to sign up, please click here.
