the natural stuff, in random order, because I'm in a hurry:

Nice spot between the top of Jolly Rancher Gully and the north end of Flyswatter Ridge.

Abattoir Alley as seen from RoA.
n3.jpg
From the top of my spontaneously-chosen goal east of RoA.
n5.jpg
Random waterfalls found along HCRH. Too much of a hassle to get to, not worth it. Just west of the section where trail 400 drops briefly to the highway to get past a steep section.

The viewpoint I spotted from Satan's Spine and decided was my new objective.
n7.jpg
random viewpoint below RoA arch on north/west side

Finding this pleased me. It was a small victory, but felt good.

Flyswatter Trail headed west. It wasn't this bad last time I was here, maybe a couple weeks ago.

He looked cheerful, but I worried he'd be chilly later, so made him a scarf from my trail flagging.

Surprised to see so much snow under the bridge. Upstream side was completely blocked off, except the little creek portal.

Toughest trail I've seen in a while.

I knew if I said I saw a dragon on Satan's Spine somebody would bellow POIDH, so here's the pic.

Indeed, this is the question mark. Good to see the top was snowless - that would be a bit hairy if it weren't.

This, however, is actually the arrow. (It's a bit confusing, but peruse the terrain map of what's between the viewpoint you found and the arch.)

Good choice on Dragon's Milk! :ugeek:

Thanks Bosterson. So I guess I went past my goal and accidentally found something more interesting. It actually was mostly snowy up there. Getting out to that little mossy platform was slightly sketchy, but no big deal. I avoided an easy snowy traverse with moderate exposure, opting instead to take a slightly trickier route that offered a little less chance of an uncontrolled slide.
