Re: Lava and Carcus Creek Falls

Good to know there has at least been some consideration of purchasing the land there. Posting here gives some public exposure to the issue and helps to build some support. This is the file I found regarding making a trail to Carcus and Lava Creek Falls, seems to be from 2011. http://www.co.columbia...

Re: Lava and Carcus Creek Falls

Lisa was awesome and did a video to Carcus Falls. It does end with a side trip to Stella Falls that we did on the way home.

Re: Upper Starvation Creek Falls and a Forgotten Fall

Very cool Chip! I've always jested about going to Forgotten Falls, but I get the same rebuke about the flow isn't worth it. Glad the ice gave you some payoff for it. Love the photos, thanks for sharing! :D

Re: Dark Creek Hike (Dark Meadow Trail) | Dark Divide Area,

Thought it might also be of interest that there is a pretty epic waterfall in that area.

I meant to write my own trip report, but didn't find the time. So I really appreciate that some else did. Thank you again for sharing!

Re: Dark Creek Hike (Dark Meadow Trail) | Dark Divide Area,

Great trip report and pictures! Maps are cool and the elevation profile make it even better! :D Thanks for sharing the conditions out there. I appreciate your information about the concerns regarding motorcyclists. Although there is one thing I don't think people realize. That trail would not exist ...

Re: Forum board changes.. uploading pictures?

Kinda figured it was a fancy step, but didn't know without asking. You guys already volunteer a great deal of time to manage the forum board, which I really appreciate. :) Thank you all for that! Really don't want to upload to flickr cause it's an extra step, plus it would be easier for people to st...

Forum board changes.. uploading pictures?

I noticed that embedding a video has become incredibly easier, which is awesome; thanks! Although there is one thing that still is a big obstacle for posting. When I'm wanting to upload images there is a image size limit. Granted I understand why. What I'm wondering is, how hard would it be to chang...

Re: Creek between Tish Creek and Loowit Falls

Here's a video a friend of mine made about a trip we took to Black Bear Falls up Fern Creek. Explorer and Oregon Hiker legend Zach Forsyth was the first to photo document these falls publicly. Upon his exploration he came across a black bear at the upper fall. :)

Re: A Journey to Lookout Mountain and Beyond

Cool report! It's fun looking for old stuff in the forest. :) We were up on Lookout Mountain on Saturday and we had three ground squirrels circling us, hoping for handouts. Thanks! Haha, that's a bit amusing you were up there. A couple of ground squirrels looked pretty fat too. It was a few years b...

Re: A Journey to Lookout Mountain and Beyond

There was more views along the way, although the most surprising was getting photobomed without knowing it, haha. lookout-mt-trail_20160625_153217-b.jpg Before going to the peak we ventured off to find the Senecal Spring nearby. towards-senecal-spring_DSC0544-b.jpg We managed to find some of the aba...
