Description
The trail signs at this junction are scorched as the View Lake Fire of 2010 crested the Geronimo Ridge here. Drop steeply from here to Upper Welcome Lake on the Welcome Lakes Trail #554. The Geronimo Trail #557 is abandoned and tracing it down the ridge can be tricky in places where it is overgrown.
