Driving Directions

Drive Highway 26 west.

From the merge with Highway 217, it’s 23.3 miles to the junction with Highway 47N.

Turn right here for Vernonia and Clatskanie. Drive 14.5 miles into Vernonia and turn right onto Bridge Street.

Drive 1.1 miles through downtown Vernonia, cross Rock Creek, and then turn right into the parking area for Vernonia Lake.

Other Notes

  • $5 day use fee (late spring into early fall)
  • Open 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Restrooms, picnic tables, primitive campground, fishing docks, boat launch
  • Interpretive signs
  • Dogs on leash
