Description
The Twin Barns were built in 1932, and were used by the refuge for educational displays and classes until they were damaged by the February 2001 Nisqually earthquake, which had a moment magnitude of 6.8 (The earthquake also damaged numerous buildings and facilities in Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle). The barns are now closed to the public. There are port-a-potties here as well as a picnic area and a viewing platform next to one of the barns.
