From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The prominence just east of the junction, with Knob Peak and Schreiber Peak in the background (bobcat)
The junction is at this copse of cedars (bobcat)

Description

This unsigned junction is just east of Big Slide Mountain on the ridge that leads to Schreiner Peak. The Schreiner Peak Trail disappears just east of here. From this junction, you can do the short scramble up Big Slide Mountain. A lower prominence to the east offers wide-ranging views as well.
