Pinnacle Meadows

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Pinnacle Meadows (Steve Hart)
The muddy Pinnacle Ridge Trail at Pinnacle Meadows (Steve Hart)

Description

Pinnacle Meadows is on the Pinnacle Ridge Trail about 0.7 miles down from the Timberline Trail. Water seems to spring from everywhere creating a beautiful, if soggy spot. The trail works it way around the steep west side of the meadow, providing beautiful views and muddy boots. Please don't walk in the boggy parts of the meadow itself. Early in the summer, look for blooming false asphodel, grass-of-Parnassus, marsh-marigold, and shooting star. From the top of Pinnacle Meadows, there’s a great view north to Mount Adams.
