Pacific Crest-Heartbreak Ridge Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

This new sign graces the junction described here. Yes, the Heartbreak Ridge Trail is that steep. (Steve Hart)

Description

The Heartbreak Ridge Trail was reopened about 2006. The upper end of the old "Eastway Trail" was replaced by a new alignment so that less erosion would occur. A large signboard offers a map and scant information about the Table Mountain Natural Resource Conservation Area, administered by the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
