Description
The Necanicum Estuary, where the Necanicum River and Neawanna Creek meet, supports a wide variety of avian life at all seasons. Necanicum Spit is a snowy plover nesting area and visitors are requested to show proper caution during the nesting season (between March 15th and September 15th). Also here are unique estuary plants, including orache, red goosefoot, paintbrush owl clover, gumweed, and glasswort.
