Mount Talbert West Loop Hike

Hike Description

From the Mather Road Trailhead, head up the Mather Road Trail to Park Loop Trail. Turn left on the Park Loop Trail and hike 1/10 mile to the West Ridge Trail. Turn right and head uphill on the West Ridge Trail. Hike past the Summit Trail and continue downhill to the north end of the West Ridge Trail.

Turn left on the Park Ridge Trail and head south. You'll pass the Park Mountain Lane Trail near the low point of the trail. Continue uphill on the Park Loop Trail back to the south junction with the West Ridge Trail. Continue on the Park Loop Trail back to the Mather Road Trail and your car.

Regulations or restrictions, etc

  • Dogs not permitted
  • Hikers only; no bicycles
  • Park opens half an hour before sunrise and closes half an hour after sunset
