Description

Leaf Hill is a small mound of broken shale in a remote section of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. The hill is the source of tens of thousands of fossil leaves and seeds. Fossil collecting is currently restricted to approve scientific groups and the hill is protected by a small wooden fence.
