Driving Directions

From the last traffic light at the east end of Sandy (after the ARCO station), drive 30.9 miles through Zigzag, Rhododendron and Government Camp on Highway 26 to the junction with Highway 35.

Exit Highway 26 to the right and drive for 13.7 miles.

Make a right turn onto paved FR 44 for Lookout Mountain, Camp Baldwin, and Dufur.

After 5.3 miles, Road 44 makes a sharp right for Camp Baldwin and Dufur at the junction with FR 17. Keep straight (left) here on FR 17, and drive for 3.1 miles (The road becomes gravel after 0.5 miles), and turn right for Knebal Springs.

Go 0.2 miles through the campground to the trailhead.

  • Northwest Forest Pass (or America the Beautiful Pass) required
