Horsethief Butte Summit

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Looking east up the Columbia River from the Horsethief Butte summit (bobcat)

Description

The Horsethief Butte summit is at the east end of a windy, narrow scabland mesa that affords expansive views up and down the Columbia River Gorge. Short scrambles are necessary to access the summit. Be careful of inserting your fingers into cracks where rattlesnakes may lurk.
