Description

Adams Glacier Meadows, also known as High Camp, is a really nice, high elevation alpine area on Mount Adams. This is a base camp for climbing Mount Adams via the North Cleaver so you might see some climbers. As a day hike, try hiking up further on glacial moraines for some even greater views. It's only four miles from the Killen Creek Trailhead, so it's pretty busy on summer weekends.

There's a drinking water stream going through the meadow although it may run dry late in some summers. If you're looking for a secluded campsite, try continuing past the stream to the south. There are a number of meadow areas you could camp. Otherwise, head up. Right as the main trail reaches the meadow, there is a crude trail going right onto the ridge overlooking the trail that you just hiked up. There are nice views from here, and some other possible campsites.
