From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

What is a wiki?

A wiki site is a web site that runs special software that allows people to collaborate information. Many people can contribute to the content of a page within the site.

How is this wiki organized?

There are three basic types of pages within this wiki:

  • Hikes: These are close to what you might see in a guidebook. They give directions for specific hikes that you can take. Find a Hike
  • Trailheads: Tells you how to drive to a trailhead. Lists out hikes that start at the trailhead.
  • Destinations: These are specific places you might visit along a hike (like a waterfall). Find a Destination

Each hike, trailhead and destination page is assigned to an area. If you want you can browse the areas.

Oregon Hikers Field Guide is built as a collaborative effort by its user community. While we make every effort to fact-check, information found here should be considered anecdotal. You should cross-check against other references before planning a hike. Trail routing and conditions are subject to change. Please contact us if you notice errors on this page.

Hiking is a potentially risky activity, and the entire risk for users of this field guide is assumed by the user, and in no event shall Trailkeepers of Oregon be liable for any injury or damages suffered as a result of relying on content in this field guide.
