Desolation Canyon Viewpoint

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Above Desolation Canyon, Twin Pillars Trail, Mill Creek Wilderness (bobcat)

Description

Desolation Canyon runs through the heart of the Mill Creek Wilderness. The canyon itself was scoured by the 2000 Hash Rock Fire, but some ponderosa pines and Douglas-firs stand out on the rim, which blooms with shrubby penstemon and snow brush in early summer.
