Canyon-Maple Ridge North Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The Maple Ridge Trail heads uphill to the right. The Canyon Trail goes down from here in both directions. (Steve Hart)

Description

The Maple Ridge Trail is an often overlooked trail in Silver Falls State Park. It provides an alternate loop for hikers that aren't up to the complete Trail of Ten Falls Loop Hike but can still visit South Falls and Lower South Falls. This trail junction is where the Maple Ridge Trail meets the Canyon Trail deep in the Silver Creek Canyon. It lies right on the ridge separating the South Fork of Silver Creek from the North Fork. This is close to where the forks combine and the ridge is only about a fifty foot climb.
