Buck Creek Bend

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Looking across the Sandy River at the bend (bobcat)

Description

This bend in the Sandy River is the second of the two big loops the river makes here. Buck Creek meets the river across from this favorite fishing spot, which is characterized by cobbled bars backed by stands of glinting cottonwoods. Watch for salmon splashing in the riffles during spawning season and bald eagles and ospreys patrolling the valley.
