Atwood Road-Old Stove Road Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Signage near the junction, Old Stove Road, Catherine Creek (bobcat)

Description

In dark Douglas-fir woods, "Old Stove Road" joins Atwood Road here in the Catherine Creek Canyon. Old Stove Road runs north above Catherine and ends at the creek. Some of the road has been cleared of brush, but consider this a bushwhack and the creek is not an easy ford if you want to return down the east side of the canyon, where there are ticks and much poison oak.

Old Stove Road has been so monikered on Oregon Hikers because of the white enamel stove that sits not far from the junction.
