Alki Road Trailhead

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

There are twin bridges over Burnt Bridge Creek, just to the east and west of Alki Road (Steve Hart)

  • Parks open 7 a.m. to dusk
  • Restrooms open April 1st to October 31st
  • Dogs on leash

Driving Directions

From Portland, drive across take Interstate 5 across the Columbia River to Vancouver. Exit the freeway at 39th St and turn left (west). Turn right (north) on Main St, which is the first stoplight. Soon, you will come to a somewhat confusing intersection with ramps to I-5 and Hazel Dell Avenue. Follow the signs to Hazel Dell Avenue which should lead you to the left. About 1/4 mile down Hazel Dell Ave, turn left on Alki Road. Follow Alki Road to a bridge over Burnt Bridge Creek and the trailhead.

Alternatives to Driving

  • C-TRAN Bus #32 runs along Hazel Dell Avenue, passing the junction with Alki Road.
